# Platform Playbooks

Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, Threads, Reddit.

_Part of NIGHT//SHIFT OS. Planning material only — nothing here promises income or results._

## Instagram playbook

Reels for reach, carousels for saves, stories for daily presence.

### Format

- Reels 15-40s with a text hook in frame one.
- Carousels: 8 slides, one idea each.
- Stories: one poll a day about the problem.

### Cadence

- 5-7 posts a week, two carousels minimum.
- Reply to comments within the hour.

### Faceless notes

- Screen recordings, hands-only, b-roll, and text-forward Reels all perform; consistency of device matters more than format.

## TikTok playbook

Volume and series.

### Format

- Hook in one second, text on screen.
- Series of 3-5 parts on one process.
- Video replies to comments.

### Cadence

- 1-2 a day when batching; never less than 4 a week.
- Re-hook the best post after two weeks and repost.

## YouTube Shorts playbook

Long shelf life; organize by pillar.

### Format

- Same clips as Reels/TikTok with a clear title.
- Pinned comment with the link.
- Playlists by pillar.

### Cadence

- 3-7 a week; Shorts keep being discovered for months, so consistency over months matters most.

## X playbook

Text hooks and substantive replies.

### Format

- Single posts with one sharp idea.
- Weekly thread on a process.
- Screenshots of your carousels as images.

### Cadence

- 2-5 posts a day plus 10 substantive replies to accounts in your niche.
- Link in the first reply, not the post.

## Threads playbook

Conversational and quick.

### Format

- Short opinions and questions.
- Carousel slides as a text sequence.
- Reply chains under your own post.

### Cadence

- 3-5 a day, repurposed from X; one question a day.

## Reddit playbook

Contribute, follow the rules, measure profile visits.

### Format

- Useful answers where your audience asks questions.
- One long-form process post a month where allowed, without links.

### Rules

- Read and follow each subreddit's self-promotion rules.
- Ask moderators before mentioning your account or product.
- No cross-posting spam, no alt accounts.
