# Monetization Decision Tree

Three questions to choose your first model.

_Part of NIGHT//SHIFT OS. Planning material only — nothing here promises income or results._

## CTA strategy

Which call to action goes where, and how often.

### By objective

- Growth phase: follow and save CTAs on 80% of posts.
- Warm-up to an offer: reply and DM CTAs to learn what people want.
- Monetization: link CTAs on at most two posts a week, plus profile and pinned.

### Rules

- One CTA per post.
- The CTA matches the post's objective, never a generic 'follow for more'.
- Say what they get, not just the action: 'Save this for launch day.'

## Monetization decision tree

Answer three questions to pick your first model.

### Q1: Do people already ask you a specific question repeatedly?

- Yes → Digital product that answers it (FORGE builds it).
- No → Q2.

### Q2: Do you use a tool or product your audience needs and that has an affiliate program?

- Yes → Affiliate offer, disclosed clearly, only for things you use.
- No → Q3.

### Q3: Is your niche business-to-business or high-stakes?

- Yes → Service (done-for-you or consulting), which works even faceless with a portfolio.
- No → keep growing with follow/save CTAs and revisit in 30 days.

### Later

- Membership: when people ask for ongoing access or community and you have 10+ product buyers.
- Sponsorship: when brands reach out or you have consistent reach to a defined audience; last, not first.
